PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE

Welcome to the APICS, Worcester County Chapter website.

Founded in 1960, only three years after the incorporation in 1957 of APICS itself, the Worcester
Chapter is recognized as a Platinum Level chapter by APICS corporate. The Platinum designation is the highest level of recognition that can be attained by our Chapter. The Worcester Chapter Board of Directors, along with our dedicated trainers and enthusiastic students, company coordinators, and discussion leaders, has earned this designation for the Chapter by providing all of the educational and certification services that you or your company require to maximize your competitiveness for success in the global profession of operations and supply chain management.

Our educational offerings include an ongoing series of certification training and prep classes for those seeking to achieve CSCP and CPIM designations, along with monthly Professional Development Meetings (PDMs).

Our monthly PDM’s cover a wide range of topics from the latest theories on lean manufacturing, to ensuring regulatory compliance in the areas of sustainability and product life-cycle management. The dinner meetings themselves also provide an outstanding opportunity for networking for exchanging ideas with fellow operations and supply chain professionals, or possibly filling that procurement or planner position!

Chapter management excellence is an integral component to enhancing the member experience. Successful APICS chapters provide their members with opportunities for stellar education, career development, and networking.

The APICS Chapter Benchmarking and Reporting (CBAR) program recognizes chapters that have exceeded minimum standards and exemplify excellence in overall chapter management. We are proud to announce the APICS Worcester County Chapter received the 2016 CBAR Platinum Award designation, an admirable accomplishment for an APICS chapter.

As a member of an APICS Platinum Award winning chapter, the CBAR designation signifies commitment to providing an exceptional membership experience.

In closing, if you have any questions regarding joining the Chapter or APICS, or would like more information regarding our various educational offerings, please do not hesitate to contact myself or any of the Board of Directors.

Thank you for your interest,

John Crawford
